Mike Lauretano Sr. of Lauretano Sign Group Joins ISA Board of Directors in Key Volunteer Leadership Position

Alexandria, VA – February 1, 2012

Mike Lauretano Sr. of Lauretano Sign Group in Terryville, Conn., has rejoined the Board of Directors for the International Sign Association for another term. He represents the committee of past chairmen.

Lauretano joined the family business, Lauretano Sign Group, in 1972, and has grown it from a local to a national sign company. He has been heavily involved in numerous industry groups, including the Connecticut Sign Association and the Eastern States Sign Council. He was elected to the Board of Directors for the National Electric Sign Association, a precursor to ISA. He served as ISA chairman of the board in 1988.

“I have been in the sign business all my life,” Lauretano said. “The industry has been very good to me, and this is an important way that I can give back.”

Lauretano also is active in his community, having served as director of the Community Savings Bank and a board member of the local Montessori school. He resides in Morris, Conn., with his wife Diane. They have four grown children, including Michael Jr., who is sales manager for the family’s sign business.

“The sign and visual communications industry is extremely diverse and it’s important that our Board of Directors reflects the breadth of the industry,” said Lori Anderson, ISA president and CEO. “I’m excited about the experience Mike brings to the board and know that he
will add tremendous insight.”

As the sign industry’s leading trade association, the International Sign Association promotes and improves the worldwide sign industry through educational, advocacy, and networking initiatives.
