Keep the Light on in Arkansas
In February, a bill was introduced in the Arkansas House of Representatives that threatened to impose restrictive and expensive lighting requirements on many types of signs. ISA and Mid South Sign Association alerted industry members in the state, and after many on-premise sign shops and outdoor advertising companies contacted their state officials urging their opposition to HB 1711, the sponsor of the bill officially withdrew his language. ISA and Mid South will continue to monitor the development of any anti-sign legislative proposals in Arkansas and will alert area sign companies should any such bills be introduced.
