Heat Injury & Illness Prevention

The heat of the warmer months can create dangerous indoor and outdoor working conditions. OSHA requires employers to provide workplaces free of known safety and health hazards, including protecting employees from heat-related hazards.

OSHA’s Heat Illness Prevention Webpage contains important information about heat stress, employer responsibilities, and valuable information all employees should know about heat illness. It also includes a printable fact sheet and heat stress poster for distribution and a link to important NIOSHA guidance on heat injury prevention.
