The year is almost three-fourths over. Is your company on track with your planned growth? ISA and the Sign Research Foundation have published a number of reports recently that can help sign, graphics and visual communications companies grow. Here are three to download now:
- “Retail Signage: Practices to Increase Return on Investment,” published by the Sign Research Foundation, features analysis and research that identifies management strategies that are crucial to increasing ROI. Another key factor to improving ROI is the collaboration between designers and contractors responsible for each area of retail design. Craig Berger, Chair, Visual Presentation and Exhibition Design, Fashion Institute of Technology, edited the study, which sought insight from industry leaders in retail, restaurants and design. Find the complete version here. An executive summary also is available here.
- “Wide Format Print Trends, Opportunities & Challenges: Identifying Areas of Untapped Potential in the Wide Format Market,” produced by the International Sign Association, is designed to help sign, graphics and visual communications understand more about the wide format and inkjet sectors. The white paper is compiled by InfoTrends and includes research that shows print volumes for wide format production graphics in North America are expected to rise from about 460 million square meters (over 4.9 billion square feet) in 2015 to 849 million square meters (9.1 billion square feet) by 2020. The white paper also explores technological advances that are fueling the growth; soft signage opportunities; competition from commercial printers; the demand for increased through-put; single pass; and wide-format packaging. It is free for ISA and Affiliated Association members here.
- “Digital Print Trends and Technologies in the Sign and Graphics Industry,” provides an overview of the technologies, methodologies and materials shaping the digital printing industry. It includes thoughts on how these technologies impact the sign and graphics industry, as well as how designers, fabricators and manufacturers are navigating digital printing processes. It was compiled by Berger, who has produced numerous research projects for the Sign Research Foundation, sought insight from leading environmental graphic designers, sign companies, and print product manufacturers. “Digital Print Trends and Technologies in the Sign and Graphics Industry” is available via this link or in an executive summary format.
