ISA Sign Expo Benefits School Children in FL

The materials used by exhibitors to build booths and demonstrate products could provide long-lasting benefits to Florida school children. Exhibitors will be able to donate any unneeded items to A Gift for Teaching. A Gift for Teaching provides free school supplies for children in Central Florida.

Exhibitors wishing to participate can donate leftover exhibit samples, substrates and supplies at the close of the show.

“Our industry is filled with creative products that showcase the talents within our industry,” said Iain Mackenzie, ISA’s vice president of meetings and events. “This provides tools that promote creativity in the next generation, while simplifying the wrap up for exhibitors when the show is over. It is a win-win for all involved.”

A Gift for Teaching serves 338 public schools, including 210,000 students whose families live at or below the poverty line. It says that 13,000 of those students are homeless. In all, two in three students in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties come from families that can’t afford school lunch, much less school supplies.

Participating exhibitors just need to drop off products at the Freeman Service Desk at the back of the exhibit hall, or to pick up donation stickers at the Freeman Service Center to place on unwanted items.

ISA International Sign Expo will be held March 22-24 with education beginning on March 21. All events are at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. Registration is open at www.signexpo.org.
