Mimaki USA Launches Print with Compassion at ISA International Sign Expo 2015

Alexandria, VA – March 5, 2015

Hands-On Training and Demonstrations to Produce Items for Kindergarteners.

Mimaki USA will demonstrate its wide format inkjet printers and cutters while creating materials for use by local communities. The program, called Print with Compassion, launches during ISA International Sign Expo 2015, with attendees getting hands-on training on Mimaki USA’s products. Attendees will create products for the kindergarten environment, with those items donated to a Las Vegas charity after the show.

“We continue to work to find new uses for materials used at ISA International Sign Expo, but Mimaki USA’s Print with Compassion raises the bar,” said Lori Anderson, ISA president and CEO. “To use the hands-on training and demonstrations to create items of need for a local charity is a win on many levels. Attendees will receive hands-on experience in these techniques which can help them grow their businesses. And children in Las Vegas will benefit in a real and tangible way—just the way that businesses served by the sign and visual communications industry do every day.”

The Mimaki Print with Compassion initiative allows attendees to learn each step of the digital print process using solvent, latex, UV and dye-sublimation technologies. Hands-on sessions include Design for Large Format Basics; Color Management for Non-Color Managers; Cut-and-Print, UV Printing, and Textiles Print Production; and Finishing and Assembly. A business session on how to integrate new technologies into existing operations and an ROI overview also will be presented.

ISA International Sign Expo will be held April 8-11 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Print with Compassion runs April 9-10.
