Two Tech Research Projects Presented to Sign Industry
Research is a key component to educating and growing the sign industry. Summaries of two technical research projects which have been completed by ISA, were recently presented to members of the sign industry. The first involved Single Pole High-Rise Sign Structures and the second involved Electric Sign Luminance. Bill Dundas, ISA’s Manager of Technical & Regulatory Affairs, educated California-area sign companies about the projects during the California Sign Association’s (CSA) annual meeting for the northern California region on July 24, 2014.
ISA sponsored this research to address key safety and regulatory issues impacting the sign industry nationwide. The CSA meeting was well attended and members posed a number of pertinent questions to Mr. Dundas and CSA Executive Director Roy Flahive, who was directly involved in these projects through his participation on the ISA technical committees.
