Tallahassee, Fla., Approves Positive Sign Code Changes
On Wednesday, the Tallahassee, Fla., city commissioners held a hearing and unanimously voted to approve changes to the sign code. ISA’s James Carpentier, along with members of the Southern States Sign Council and several end users, testified before the commissioners on the positive impacts that signs have on businesses and communities such Tallahassee. Because of industry and end-user input, the commissioners reduced the change rate for electronic message centers from eight to six seconds and deleted a burdensome section on abandoned signs. The revised sign code takes effect immediately. For more information, please contact [email protected].
