Summit in Cincinnati Reveals Interesting Research on Signage

Researchers, planners and the sign industry came together October 9th and 10th at the 2013 National Signage Research & Education Conference (NSREC) in Cincinnati, Ohio. This joint event with the Signage Foundation Inc. and the University of Cincinnati offered many respected speakers and a wide variety of informative sign-related topics.

Research on the economic impact of electronic messaging centers (EMCs), the economic value of signs, urban wayfinding, and a study of the communication influence of road signage along historic US Route 50 was presented. NSREC was attended by more than 200 participants, including planners, planning students, marketing students, professors, appraisers, end users and sign-company representatives.
