ISA Teams with Experiential Designers at SEGD Conference

The International Sign Association attended the annual conference of the Society of Experiential Graphic Design to continue the collaborative work of both organizations and their members. Sapna Budev, ISA director of strategic initiatives, has been working with the design community to educate urban planners on wayfinding, to engage architects on the importance of signage within building design, and to conduct evidence-based research on the federal ADA guidelines.

A cross-disciplinary team of designers, planners, academics, fabricators, and suppliers has completed the Urban Wayfinding Planning & Implementation manual & webinar series, the History and Best Practices of Typography white paper and webinar series, and is beginning a research project on the ROI of Signs in Downtown Development at the end of this month. Ms. Budev also met with a dedicated team of industry and design professionals to develop an ADA research strategy on color contrast for the ANSI Standards Committee. Read a summary of the last ADA code development meeting and the impact of these proposed changes.

If you have questions, or would like to get involved with ISA’s ADA Taskforce, please email Sapna Budev.
