ISA Speaks at Society for Environmental Graphic Design Conference
ISA staff member Sapna Budev and Board Director and SEGD member Grady Brown were part of a panel that presented to a group of designers and fabricators at the SEGD annual conference in Montreal. ISA participants spoke about the newly adopted ADA Standards for Accessible Design and how they affect signage. Brown explained the scope and requirements of the new guidelines, detailing changes in font height, spacing, tactile signage and areas of egress. The session engendered lively discussion and debate within the design community, and ISA continues to collaborate with SEGD on ADA education as well as other synergistic programs that blend the design and fabrication communities. For more information about the SEGD or the new standards for accessibility, please contact Budev at [email protected].
