ISA Files Final Comments on International Green Construction Code

On Aug. 19, ISA submitted change proposals to the International Code Council’s model green building code. ISA is seeking changes to the rules governing illumination of exterior signage and the use of neon and cold cathode lamps. As currently written, the International Green Construction Code would establish shutoff requirements for signs at close of business and would greatly restrict the use of most types of lamps that contain mercury. In November, ISA staff members will appear at the ICC hearings in Phoenix to defend our proposals. For more information, please contact [email protected].
