ISA Champions Sign Industry to Head of OSHA
ISA Director of Industry Programs, Sapna Budev, joined a coalition of trade associations to meet with OSHA leadership about regulatory burdens and assistive programs. The group advocated a path to determining flexible solutions without compromising worker safety and health. Dr. Michaels offered to work with ISA to develop webinars to educate members about OSHA’s On-site Consultation Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP), which recognizes small business employers (under 250 employees) who operate an exemplary injury and illness prevention program. ISA also recommended that OSHA meet with trade associations on a quarterly basis to identify areas of collaboration and outreach that will reduce problematic regulations and help manufacturers comply with new and existing standards. If you have any questions about specific regulations or need assistance on compliance, please contact Sapna Budev.
