“Hey gang, let’s put on a show!”
Did you ever see that Mickey Rooney/Judy Garland movie “Babes in Arms”? Even if you never caught it during a late–night filmfest – you’ll probably recognize one of its most famous lines. It’s a line that really speaks to the ISA International Sign Expo team right now.
Rooney said it best – “Hey gang, let’s put on a show!” And while our show isn’t in a barn “out back” – it’s produced with same passion and excitement as those singing teens from the 1930s. With that said, the ISA International Sign Expo doesn’t just happen overnight. Almost as soon as the annual expo is over, it’s time to start planning for next year’s event. A lot of time and effort go into producing ISA Sign Expo. That’s especially true this year as our Vegas event is the largest one in ISA’s history.
Here are some fun nuggets of info that’ll give you some insight into what it takes to pull off the ISA International Sign Expo 2015 in Las Vegas.
- Nearly 500 18-wheelers hauled in materials for move-in.
- It took 149.5 hours to set the show up from the time we first stepped onto the floor to when the show opened.
- 250,000 sq. ft. of carpet is used for the aisles. We are delighted to say that this will all be recycled.
- The show floor is just over the size of 10 football fields.
The ISA International Sign Expo is in full swing between Thursday, April 9 and Saturday, April 11 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. There’s still time for you to be part of this historic event! Learn more at signexpo.org.
