Debary, Florida Approves Sign Code Changes
On Wednesday, the City of Debary Council unanimously voted to approve changes to the sign code. ISA’s James Carpentier testified before the Commissioners along with a member of the Southern States Sign Association (SSSA) and a business owner. Due to ISA and SSSA input, the Council made a motion to allow additional review and more favorable EMC regulations in the sign code. The motion failed 2 in favor and 3 in opposition. The revised sign code includes an increase in height for multi-tenant ground signs from 8′ to 10′, and pole signs are allowed in the Gateway Corridor with a special exception.
