ISA Presents at Important International Digital Signage Conference

Alexandria, VA – September 27, 2012

The International Sign Association joined some of the largest and most influential figures in dynamic digital signage at the OVAB invidis conference earlier this month in Munich.

ISA Executive Vice President Rich Gottwald spoke at the conference, which is presented by Out of Home Video Advertising Bureau (OVAB) Europe, and invidis consulting, which focuses on digital signage solutions. Gottwald’s presentation was “Partnerships Between Static and Digital Signage: A Natural and Necessary Fit.”

Other speakers included Tom Nix, CEO of digital signage software firm Scala; Daniel Steinbichler, CEO of 3M GTG; and Ulrich Hieber, Retail Division Manager of Toshiba Europe. Much of the conference discussion looked forward, exploring ways to integrate digital signage with interactivity, tablets, and attention-aware digital signage systems. Other major digital firms represented included NEC, Corning, Stenova, and Intel.

“We believe that dynamic digital signage is and will continue to be an important avenue of growth for many traditional static sign companies,” Gottwald said. “While the technology may be new to some of our members, many components of dynamic digital signage are within our everyday operations: content, messaging, project management, and relationships with end users.”

Presenting at OVAB invidis is just the latest way that ISA has taken leadership in the rapidly growing dynamic digital signage arena. The 2013 ISA International Sign Expo will feature a dynamic digital park with dynamic digital vendors, and a full day of educational offerings are on tap.
