International Sign Association’s Iain Mackenzie Named to Fourth Annual Expo Elite List
Alexandria, VA – May 30, 2014 — Iain Mackenzie, Director of Meetings & Events for the International Sign Association, has been named to the Expo Elite list by the editors of Expo magazine. The list honors “individuals who are pushing their companies, their associations and the industry forward by successfully integrating innovation into every phase of their operations.”
In his role with ISA, Mackenzie is tasked with creating and executing ISA International Sign Expo. ISA International Sign Expo 2013 was ranked at number 105 on Trade Show News Network’s list of top 250 trade shows. ISA International Sign Expo 2012 was ranked in the Top 100 Largest Events by Trade Show Executive.
Mackenzie is joined on the list by representatives from some of the country’s largest associations as well as professionals who manage large convention centers. The Expo Elite will be recognized during an awards luncheon as part of the ExpoNext Conference June 25 and featured in the summer issue of Expo magazine.
“Those included on this list were recognized for their ability to set high goals and work to accomplish them,” said Lori Anderson, ISA president and CEO. “We see Iain do this each year at ISA International Sign Expo, which continues to create an exciting experience for attendees and exhibitors alike. Much of this comes from Iain’s constant drive to improve the event for our exhibitors, attendees and industry.”
Mackenzie joined ISA in 2005 and has more than 16 years of experience in trade show and event management. He has earned designations as a Certified Exhibition Manager (CEM) from the International Association of Exhibitions and Events, and as a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) from the Convention Industry Council.
“This is a significant honor for me personally but even more so for ISA and ISA International Sign Expo,” Mackenzie said. “Most of my work each year is focused on creating an amazing four-day experience. We continue to hear what an amazing event ISA Sign Expo is, and to receive this recognition outside of our industry is very special.”
