ISA’s David Hickey and Kenny Peskin recently made presentations before members of the Illinois Sign Association and the Sign Association of Canada on key issues affecting sign companies. Hickey’s presentation “Obamacare and You” focused on how the new health care law will affect sign companies with fewer than 50 full-time employees. Just because the vast majority of sign companies fall below that critical employee threshold, doesn’t mean that they won’t be impacted by Obamacare.
Peskin’s presentation, “10 Regulatory Principles of Sign Code Development,” provided sign companies with critical ways to work with local officials to facilitate an open and effective process and help draft reasonable sign codes.
