Using Model Codes to Your Advantage
Last Thursday ISA offered a webinar to help sign companies learn how to use the latest model sign codes to educate local officials and grow their business. A number of new model sign codes have been introduced recently to help cities across the country develop reasonable and beneficial sign codes. These model codes have been drafted by planners, academics and sign industry experts, and can be used to educate local officials on how to draft reasonable and effective sign ordinances. Webinar participants learned how to work with local officials in using these model sign codes to draft effective sign ordinances, and to foster a cooperative environment where sign ordinances benefit all key stakeholders.
