Sign Industry Business Panel Meets with UL
During a February 29-March 1 meeting, UL agreed to continue to waive the fee for the first variation notice (VN) per company each year. A VN constitutes a variation to the prescribed construction of a UL compliant product, and is accompanied by a $530 fee. UL also released the results of a study showing the top ten causes of VNs, hoping this data will educate sign shops on how to avoid VNs.
