Sign Companies Urge Congress to Support Manufacturing Industry

Sign and visual communications companies have made their voices loud and clear on Capitol Hill. The International Sign Association (ISA) and member companies met with their congressional representatives on June 2nd and 3rd as part of a larger initiative organized by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). ISA members AGS, Daktronics, Nova Polymers and Triangle Sign and Service visited Washington DC to team with ISA and represent the sign and visual communications industry in our nation’s capital.

The 2015 NAM Manufacturing Summit brought business professionals in the manufacturing sector to Washington, D.C. to help build an understanding of the importance of manufacturing and its impact on the economy. Being able to have sign companies tell their stories about how federal policies like Section 179 of the tax code (expensing) and regulations impact their bottom line was an effective way to raise awareness of our industry and educate politicians and staffers about the importance of signs in our economy.

This was the third year that ISA has worked with NAM to facilitate and promote this event, any sign companies who want to participate in 2016 should contact ISA’s David Hickey.
