Print Media Spending Expected to Grow
Wide format digital print media is an important cost element for sign shops, according to a new report based on survey findings conducted by InfoTrends. The two-part report was produced by the International Sign Association and sponsored by 3M.
“ISA Wide Format Print & Media Mix Survey: Part Two,” has been released. It follows the release earlier this month of Part One. The research is designed to capture the current state of the wide format print market. Some highlights from Part Two:
- Nearly 2/3rds of shops expect to spend more on print media in the next 12 months – which indicates their belief that their sign business will grow;
- Wide format digital print media is an important cost element for sign shops, with the average shopping spending tens of thousands of dollars per year on wide format print media;
- Signage and graphics providers rely heavily on manufacturers of digital print media to help them grow their business by innovating to develop new products which in turn would create new applications.
The report also explores uses of various media and additional services typically offered by these providers.
The full two-part report is available free to ISA members. Non-members may purchase the report for $24.95 for each part. To access or purchase the survey, click here.
