Pittsburgh Eases EMC Regulations in New Proposal
On Tuesday, ISA’s Kenny Peskin joined nearly 50 businesses, sign companies and community leaders in voicing support for a Pittsburgh bill that would establish clearer regulations for EMCs and digital billboards. Unlike an earlier version of the bill opposed by ISA, the current City Council proposal would establish a dwell time of eight changes per minute (instead of every 60 seconds), would set more reasonable brightness limits and would create allowances for special sign districts in entertainment areas and for major public facilities such as stadiums. The Pittsburgh City Council will schedule the bill for a vote later this year. For more information, contact [email protected].
