New Urban Wayfinding Resource Draws Hundreds of Planners and Downtown Developers
ISA and the Signage Foundation, Inc. (SFI) introduced a new Urban Wayfinding Planning & Implementation Manual for planners and developers with great success. Launched in June, nearly 250 planners and downtown economic development managers have registered for the 6-part webinar series and have given favorable reviews to the two completed sessions in the series. The series and manual outline the framework for embarking on a wayfinding program and cover the planning, financing, design, implementation and ongoing management of an effective system. The series delves into case studies of large cities, small towns, and historic districts to supply a valuable resource for urban planners from all communities. In conjunction with ISA’s Planner Workshops, this program has provided valuable assistance to planners from Chicago, IL to Wasilla, AK, and even Sydney, Australia.
