ISA Teams with Environmental Designers at SEGD Conference
International Sign Association Director of Strategic Initiatives, Sapna Budev, attended the annual conference of the Society of Environmental Graphic Design to continue the collaborative work of both organizations and their members. Ms. Budev has been working with the design community to educate urban planners on wayfinding, to engage architects on the importance of signage within building design and to conduct evidence-based research on the federal ADA guidelines. A cross-disciplinary team of designers, planners, academics, fabricators, and suppliers will be launching the Urban Wayfinding Planning & Implementation manual & webinar series at the end of this month. Ms. Budev also met with a dedicated team of industry and design professionals to develop an ADA research strategy on color contrast, gloss level measurement standards, character height and spacing, and Braille positioning.
