ISA Education Year-in-Review & 2013 Preview
ISA’s Sign Academy is focused on one thing: helping you manage your business better. Whether the topic is the latest technology, a new strategy, regulatory information, or just basic technical skills, ISA is dedicated to providing you the knowledge you need to run your business successfully.
Taking Training and Development to the Next Level with a New Online Learning System
The biggest news of 2012 is that we took the ISA Sign Academy Online. This new learning platform offers best-in-class training material right on your desktop anytime you need it. Our first course was the Sign Installer’s Guide: Safety Course and coming soon is the Sign Installer’s Guide: Wall Signs. Future topics include electrical installations, project management, and crane operator training. In 2013, we’ll continue to expand this learning platform, bringing even more current, relevant and sign industry specific education to you. Training the Industry Through ISA Sign Expo Seminars & Webinars
At this year’s ISA Sign Expo, a record number of people took advantage of our education sessions. Some of our most popular sessions included Networking in the 21st Century, How to Survive and Prosper as a Sign Organization, and Selling Dynamic Digital Signage.
Our webinar series focused on relevant, practical topics such as ADA requirements for signage, talking to planning officials about sign codes, avoiding treacherous lawsuits, and more. We also increased our outreach to educate those who influence our industry – architects, designers, and planners.
Looking Forward to 2013
At the 2013 ISA International Sign Expo in Las Vegas, we’re doubling down on two crucial topics for our industry – dynamic digital signage and the architectural design community. Dynamic digital signage is an important trend in our industry, so we’re dedicating a full day to it and collaborating with experts Alan Brawn and Lyle Bunn. A growing influence on our industry is the architectural design community and ISA Sign Expo courses are focused on communicating the value of signs to this crucial group of influencers. All courses in this series are AIA-accredited.
Another reason to attend this year’s ISA Sign Expo is our new Peer Networking Group series. Peer-to-peer networking is continually cited as the most effective method of learning. At the 2013 ISA Sign Expo, we’re offering topical peer-to-peer groups on generational issues, project management, shop operations, and a CEO roundtable.
