ISA Educates Sign Companies on Permitting, Regulatory Issues
On October 20, ISA’s Kenny Peskin presented a seminar on advanced permitting and variance techniques at the Mid-South Sign Association’s Great Ideas Conference in Birmingham. Peskin focused on methods for developing and demonstrating connections between variance applications and the stated “public benefit” of regulations. Together with other recent presentations in Michigan (“Understanding the Michigan Sign Guidebook”), Utah (“The Big Picture: On-Premises Sign Regulation”), Washington, D.C. (“Small Budget, Big Impact: Creating Low-Cost Local Campaigns”) and Arizona (“Finding Common Ground”), ISA’s State and Local Government Affairs Team of Kenny Peskin and James Carpentier continue working across the country to educate sign companies, sign users, and government regulators on best practices in developing a more favorable regulatory environment for on-premises signage.
