ISA Announces the 2010 ISA Sign Design Competition

Alexandria, VA – February 9, 2010

The International Sign Association (ISA) announces its annual Sign Design Competition, in which it recognizes sign company members’ artistry and talent in sign design. This year, for the very first time, ISA’s Sign Design Competition moves completely online. ISA will proudly showcase its members’ completed sign projects on its website, www.signs.org, during March 2010. The online community will be asked to visit its gallery online to view ISA members’ completed sign projects and vote on their favorite signs.

ISA’s Sign Design Competition is a tradition as old as its annual International Sign Expo and as such has similarly evolved with the times. Taking the contest to the World Wide Web this year, ISA reaches a new milestone. “We are looking forward to leveraging our social media tools to showcase the remarkable design talent in the sign industry,” said ISA President & CEO Lori Anderson.

Moving the Sign Design Competition online not only reaches out to ISA’s constituents, but it invites anyone with a computer and Internet access to participate. Through showcasing the sign industry in this manner, ISA seeks to go beyond the reach of its own industry to reach out to become part of a larger community. This is just one example of how ISA constantly seeks to bridge gaps across other business communities, such as the retail sector.

For the 2010 competition, the signs on display will advertise one of the following types of businesses:

Entertainment Venue: A business that provides recreational activities, such as a cinema, theatre, sports arena, and theme park.
Restaurant/Bar: A business that provides food and/or drink.
Specialty Retail/Boutique: A business that provides merchandise and/or services, such as a clothing retailer, hardware store, and salon/spa.

Be sure to log on to www.signs.org in March 2010 and cast your vote!
