International Sign Association Offers Safety Program CD-ROM as Member Benefit

Alexandria, VA – November 2, 2010

The International Sign Association’s International Sign Academy have published a new “Safety Program Development Guidelines.” Available on CD-ROM, the guidelines have been updated to comply with OSHA requirements. The guidelines, recently released as an ISA member benefit and mailed to all ISA members, are designed to help companies develop or update their company safety programs.

“ISA is committed to helping our members maintain safe work environments for themselves, their employees, and customers,” said Lori Anderson, ISA President and CEO. “This CD-ROM is just one of the important safety initiatives at ISA. We have also updated our Mobile Crane Operator Safety Certification training program to help companies be compliant with new OSHA standards. A safer work environment is a huge benefit to our industry overall.”

The guidelines, first published in 1999 were updated by Today’s Resources, Inc., a full-service safety and health-consulting firm with extensive experience in the safety, health, and environmental arenas. The firm has 25 years of OSHA compliance experience.

The guidelines include everything needed to begin a new plan or make improvements, including sample checklists, policies, forms, and sample safety procedures – all geared towards assisting sign company professionals establish or improve upon extensive in-house safety programs. A Spanish language version will be available in the coming weeks.
