beBrite Induction Sign Lighter Named Best Green Product at ISA International Sign Expo 2012

beBrite Induction Sign Lighter uses magnets as part of its induction lighting technology and it proved to be a strong draw at ISA International Sign Expo 2012. The product, distributed by N. Glantz & Son, was named Best Green Product.
beBrite uses magnets on the exterior of fully enclosed lamps rather than electrodes on the end of lamps. The company says this change extends the lamp life up to 100,000 hours, about five times the longevity of high intensity discharge technology. The application is aimed at large scale, single or double-facing outdoor signage.
“ISA International Sign Expo is always the place to find the latest in environmentally friendly products across the range of the on-premise sign industry,” said Lori Anderson, ISA’s president and CEO. “beBrite’s product clearly drew the attention of attendees, who thought it was a technology worth exploring.
The Best Green Product Competition was a highlight of the ISA Expo, which wrapped up last week in Orlando. The Expo floor showcases the diversity of the on-premise sign industry, from neon to dynamic digital signage. The Green Product showcase includes environmentally responsible products that have been released in the previous year.
As the sign industry has moved to adopt more environmentally friendly products, interest in the Best Green Product Competition has grown. This year, a record number of entries participated. Attendees were able to visit the products on the Expo floor and then vote via text messaging.
